I liked the openness of the international guests. You quickly get into conversation. The hostel is a good place for one night to stay while waiting for the ferry. The hosting staffl is very friendly.

Everything was great. Communication with the host, the apartment, the interior design. It's very cozy. Nordic style. Well equipped. Beautiful surrounding.

Good sized apartment in town. Plenty of towels & spare pillows. Appreciated the washing machine, coat hangers & towel racks. Great kitchen supplies to make dinner, including a dishwasher.
This Seydisfjordur hostel is situated in the eastern fjords of Iceland, 25 minutes’ drive from Egilsstadir Airport. It offers free WiFi and a garden.

This guesthouse is in a great location within this small but beautiful town, a short walk to everything you need (bars, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc). The room was a generous size, clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen amenities were generous with plenty of space for cooking & storing our groceries. We definitely recommend this guesthouse.

It is a beautiful secluded town in Eastfjords filled with colorful houses. Serene and quiet surrounded by beautiful mountains. We wish we had more time to visit artisan galleries. Unfortunately we arrived late evening and art studios were closed.

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory.
In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.
We decided to make the 20 minute drive off the road ring and stay here for one night and we weren’t disappointed. The drive was beautiful and the town is picturesque and charming. The property has one bedroom and bathroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs (one with a queen and one with two twin beds). The kitchen is simple but fills all basic needs. The laundry is shared and not a big washing machine but I was able to wash 8 items or so. Iceland is so beautiful. Enjoy!
The room was functional and practical. Blankets were very warm!
Self check-in and out worked well. Parking was easily accessible on site and free, and everything was within walking distance (central location).
The room was in front of the communal area but it was still remarkably quiet overnight.
No breakfast (as announced); we went to the Filling Station as recommended (aka the local fuel station) and it was tasty, but very expensive (even by Icelandic standards).
From the outside, this grey building does not promise much. However, we were so much surprised when we got our room with private bathroom. Everything is brand new, the beds are huge and comfortable and the bathroom is really big and pleasant. The room does not come with a breakfast, but the price is most reasonable and we can strongly recommend this place. Compared to hotel Aldan, this place is better and cheaper for accommodation.
Hostel has a very cozy vintage style, it was a charming stay. Staff was really friendly. Kitchen is fully equipped. Common areas are kept clean. I loved the sustainablility idea inside the hostel. It has sauna open for all people staying at the hostel :) Great stay while driving to the north east. Hostel is in a cozy city next to the bay surrounded by many attractions (waterfalls, hiking, sculptures)
So happy I chose this Fjord town instead of Egilstatoir. Charm and drama here. A tiny town, but this guesthouse was well located at the mouth of the Fjord. Next to the Aldan Hotel which has a great restaurant. Try the reindeer tartare, really! Guesthouse was clean and charming. Really nicely decorated with art and charming bits..
The stay was absolutely perfect for what I needed. Comfortable and absolutely flexible. The Hotel Staff and Management took good care and helped with everything and far beyond. I appreciate that and can absolutely recommend a visit of this lovely place.
This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.
The hotel was adorable and extremely clean located right in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. The restaurant Hotel Aldan had a fantastic light dinner menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved it.
Gorgeous bedroom & bathroom decked out in vibrant blue. Checkin was easy via email with a key code. There is a small kitchen for making tea/coffee. No breakfast is offered but there are a few diner/restaurants nearby.
I really liked how spacious and affordable the home was. The host was accommodating and made my friend and I feel really at home during our stay. Highly recommend this cute home when traveling to Seyðisfjörður Iceland
Very good location, excellent and very comfortable place.
The welcome chocolate from the house owner was a very nice gift . If I come back to Iceland I will definitely visit this place again.
10+ for the apartment: huge, very well equipped, in a great location - the center of the beautiful town of Seyðisfjörður. A bit old fashioned but that only added to the charm of the place.
The only hostel in which we stayed during our week in Iceland (different place ea. night), but by far the very nicest place (and value) among all of accommodations across the country.
Room was very good. Beds are so comfortable.
Kitchen in the room is also good with all required utensils.
Apartment location in Seyðisfjörður is very good
